Volunteering and Photos

Radio operators can earn community service hours by helping with providing radio communications for events such as marathon races, walk-a-thons, parades, bike races and even in cases of disasters.  Amateur radio operators help the community by providing a particular skill set that not everyone possesses.  Working events such as these helps prepare yourself and the community in the event of a disaster.

The W4VHS Radio Club has provided assistance at many events, such as the Venice Sharks Tooth Festival, the Sharks Tooth 10K, the Sarasota Half Marathon and the Southwest Florida Tour de Cure.
